Where I've Been

I was Manager of Marketing Communications at Peet's Coffee before spending a combined seven years as Director of Annual Giving for UCSF and then Stanford Medicine.

I transitioned to animal welfare as Individual Giving Manager for the San Francisco SPCA and later joined the Berkeley Humane Society as Executive Director for almost three years. After leaving to take care of a family need,

I worked a six-month assignment for the University of California Berkeley, Department of Physics, doing development communications and event planning. In 2017 I worked a second temporary job at UC Berkeley managing a special project for the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute.

Raising support for nonprofits is what I love to do. I craft appeals that inspire donors to give to organizations that bring vital help and opportunity to their communities.

Experience has taught me that effective fundraising doesn't have to be expensive. (I often use my own photos for appeals.

I took all the pictures on this site.) What matters most is connecting nonprofits with people that believe in their mission. The right combination of strategy and instinct gets the best results.

I serve on the boards of Cat Town and Fix our Ferals, two important Bay Area animal welfare organizations. Since fall 2015 I've been Donor Development Manager at The Chaplaincy Institute in Berkeley, California.
